I have extensive experience in resource management planning and town/community/rural development, and skilled in engagement of communities and stakeholders in both a consultancy and local government work environment. I have been involved in the implementation of collaborative and co-management processes for local authorities.
Majority of my work is to critically analyse various situations and look to work towards finding innovative solutions that meet the interests of all parties. Currently I find myself working to find ways to implement Maaori values, traditions and knowledge within Western ideologies and frameworks in New Zealand resource management practices.
