BREP (Hons)
Planning Work Group Manager (Palmerston North) and Technical Principal- Planning for WSP
Membership Convenor Te Kokiringa Taumata NZPI

I am honoured to be joining the Te Kokiringa Taumata NZPI Board for the remaining term, especially at such an important time for the planning profession. I am passionate about our profession, the role of the planner and the critical role we have in shaping our future.

Our profession is strong when we openly share our thoughts and aspirations, and support each other as we go through change. The RMA reform process presents a significant opportunity to work with the Government for a better planning framework and improved planning practice in New Zealand. The contributions from members on reform has been outstanding so far showing just how much you all care about our profession.

I have been involved with the Central North Island Branch Committee since 2007 and was on the NZPI Planning Advisory Committee for 3 years before being elected to the previous Board. More recently, I have been assisting NZPI working in the Resource Management Steering Group on all things reform.

I have over 26 years experience working for a variety of clients and councils, particularly in the policy development and review space. I have also been involved with the delivery of the Making Good Decisions Programme since 2012.

This is an exciting time to be a planner and I look forward to riding the ‘wave of change’ with you all. Always happy for you to reach out to me for a chat, to share ideas or just have someone to talk to!
