The programme for the pre-conference Elected Representatives Workshop at #NZPIC23 is now live. We’ll pose the question: How can elected representatives rise up to the challenges of our changing planning environment to drive policies and decisions that benefit their communities? The time for leadership in planning has never been more important.

This workshop will take place on Wednesday 18th of April at the Te Pae Convention Centre in Ōtautahi / Christchurch and is part of the important pre-conference programme. Its purpose is to provide an opportunity for elected members around Aotearoa to gather, network and to access and discuss national level changes to the planning environment across New Zealand.

The topics will traverse the current system, proposed changes that representatives will see through resource management reform, the use of technology in decision-making, and the role of the elected member.

If you’re an elected representative, take this opportunity and register for this pre-conference day now. For those working within local and regional authorities, please encourage your elected members to be part of these important discussions.

This is also your opportunity to register for three days of stimulating and informative presentations, workshops, exhibitions and field trips at #NZPIC23.

There are still some great sponsorship opportunities for conference too. This will be an important event with delegates in the room that you’ll want to connect with. Our prospectus is HERE.

Early bird registrations for NZPI Conference 2023 close soon on Friday the 24th of February.
