Join us to attend virtually!

NZPI/Te Kōkiringa Taumata has partnered with the Resource Management Law Association to bring you a series of workshops in December for NZPI and RMLA.

Each workshop on the roadshow will provide a summary of the new system, covering the new purpose and principles and the shift to outcomes-based planning, the National Planning Framework, Regional Spatial Strategies, NBE Planning, consenting and enforcement, and some of the things in between.

Throughout each 2 hour workshop will be about half presentation and half Q&A. We might not have all the answers to your questions, but we are hoping to get a good discussion going on the key aspects of change. It will be a great way to get ready for preparing submissions on the bills.

As a joint roadshow between NZPI and RMLA, the presenters are a mix of planners and lawyers. The NZPI presenters are Emily Grace, NZPI’s Principal Policy Advisor, and Philip Brown, Director of Campbell Brown. The RMLA presenters are barrister Bronwyn Carruthers, KC, and Helen Andrews, Director of the Environmental Lawyers.

The presentation at each workshop will be generally the same, but the questions and discussion that follows is likely to vary from location to location.
