NZPI has secured a significant opportunity to shape and influence the current RM Reform programme underway in central government.
With the support of MfE, NZPI is seeking to engage two senior planning practitioners who will be embedded in the MfE offices as NZPI Consultant Chief Advisors. Having these practitioners embedded in MfE on a day-to-day basis enables us to shape and guide the development of the legislation from its earliest stages.
This is an exciting opportunity for practicing planners to shape the legislative tools planners will use moving forward and we are seeking expressions of interest from Full members of the Institute who would like to be considered for these roles.
These practitioners will be engaged by NZPI to bring an implementation lens to the legislative development process. In addition to being embedded within MfE, these practitioners will also provide support and guidance to the NZPI Board and office as we respond to and participate in the RM Reform Process, including assisting us with the development of implementation resources and processes relating to the reforms.
These roles are part time (24 hours per week) and fixed term (until September 2023). It is expected that each practitioner will spend between 16 and 20 hours weekly in the MfE offices in Wellington or the Policy Office in Auckland, although flexible working arrangements may be considered.
If you have any questions, please feel free to call David Curtis, NZPI CEO on DDI: +64 9 520 6277 ext 3 or M: +64 21 625 244.
This call for expressions of interest is open until December 5th.
