Matt has a Masters in Transport Planning from the University of Westminster and has worked in a variety of roles predominantly in walking, cycling, passenger transport and travel demand management. He was instrumental in the development and roll out of the Business Case Approach across Aotearoa along with the Network Operating Framework and the One Network Framework, which look to put ‘place’ at the heart of the transport conversation, rather than just movement. He is currently the Principal Advisor to the Streets for People programme, which utilises adaptive urbanism to rapidly reallocate road space to more active modes.
