Ciaran joined the Mental Health Foundation in 2008. He specialises in the areas of positive mental health & wellbeing, social marketing and mental health promotion strategy. Following the Canterbury earthquakes in 2011 he helped develop All Right? the award-winning health promotion campaign with Community & Public Health in Canterbury. All Right? has achieved significant impact on population wellbeing literacy in Canterbury and created legacy resources used across Aotearoa including Sparklers for schools. In 2020, the All Right? team created Getting Through Together to support the mental wellbeing of Aotearoa as it adapts through the global Covid-19 pandemic. He is a member of the global working group on mental health promotion for the International Union for Health Promotion and Education (IUHPE) and has served on the Technical Advisory Group on population wellbeing indicators for the new Mental Health & Wellbeing Commission.
