NZPI commissions research and conducts research Surveys among its membership to inform its advocacy work, to build policy positions, and to evaluate member needs. Recent examples include the membership survey on NPSUD practice; a literature search exploring planner CPD offerings and the Tertiary education curriculum in Canada, USA, Australia and UK; and expert planner advice to inform NZPI’s freshwater management and urban development positions.
