This is a great opportunity to meet the key people shaping our response to the RM Reform!

David Curtis, Ben Farrell, Megan Couture and Emily Grace are coming to Central Otago to reconnect with the membership (post-covid) and to provide members with an opportunity to have direct engagement with the key people shaping our response to the RM Reform Programme.

David Curtis is the CEO of the New Zealand Planning Institute. Ben and Megan are Co-Chairs the RM Advisory Group, a Board subcommittee providing support, direction, and oversight of our engagement with the governments RM Reform Programme. Emily has recently joined the Institute as a Principal Policy Advisor.

As we expect the first full drafts of the Natural and Built Environment Act and the Spatial Planning Act in September/October of this year, it is crucial members are aware of what is happening in this space, what the Institute is doing, and how they can be involved, as these reforms will shape how planning is practiced in New Zealand for the foreseeable future.

We hope to see you there!
