Recently the Commerce Commission published the results of its supermarkets inquiry. Join the NZPI and RMLA Wellington branches for a joint webinar to learn about competition and how it relates to planning!

In its recent market inquiry into supermarkets, the Commerce Commission recommended that planning instruments and planning law consider the “benefits of increased competition” from development.

To help in understanding the Commission’s findings, this webinar provides a primer on the concept of competition. It will explain the underlying principles of competition, how to understand its benefits, and how this interacts with planning. It will also summarise the Commerce Commission’s findings, and discuss the implications for the planning system.
