COVID19 Guidelines for NZPI Conference 2023

Responses to Covid19 in relation to the event industry are being continually reviewed in line with government policy and industry best practice. We will immediately advise our registered delegates of any changes to the event registration process and attendance guidelines.

Please ensure that when attending the conference, you are healthy and well and consistent in practicing good hygiene and sanitisation. Please do not attend the conference if you are sick or have any symptoms, regardless of whether or not you are registered or vaccinated.

- We recommend that attendees keep a 1 metre distance from other attendees, especially those you do not know. We also recommend that when possible, you keep the same seat.

– We ensure that all our staff, speakers, caterers, delegates and venue operators keep a strictly high level of hygiene and safety at all times.

Mask wearing
– NZPI encourage our attendees to wear facemasks at the conference, this is not mandatory but is encouraged to help prevent an outbreak at the event.

The Institute has adopted a zero-tolerance position in relation to harassment and inappropriate behaviour, be it professional, physical, emotional, or sexual. Any reported harassment or inappropriate behaviour will be investigated. Where a report is found to have substance, it will be dealt with accordingly. This may be through our professional standards process, however, where necessary we will refer an incident to the appropriate external authorities for investigation and potential prosecution. I note that any such investigation may include both the perpetrator as well as any parties that enabled the harassment or inappropriate behaviour to occur.

If you have experienced any inappropriate behaviour at an NZPI event, you can report this in confidence to the Events Manager via email –
