Te Kōkiringa Taumata | New Zealand Planning Institute (NZPI) welcomes the opportunity to present this feedback on proposals to strengthen national direction on renewable electricity generation and electricity transmission. This is an important issue in responding to climate change as well as providing for the wellbeing of a growing New Zealand. It also raises issues of priority in the context of protecting what New Zealanders value in our natural and built environment.
